With a passion for marketing, I switched to selling industrial equipment to hundreds of manufacturers. Seeking ever greater challenges, I eventually began selling enterprise software.
The challenge of working in sales led me to develop B2B Copywriting skills to reach my goals. Now I’m always looking for new ways to help my clients work smarter not harder and succeed. It’s my philosophy and the inspiration for my company’s name – Trailblazer.
I’ve spent the last 25 years working in advertising, manufacturing, sales, technology, website development, digital marketing and copywriting. This gave me the ability to help smaller B2B firms create effective marketing campaigns. In addition, I provide copywriting for marketing managers at mid-sized to large firms.
As the previous owner and operator of Website Mastery, I created many WordPress websites. This laid the groundwork for my skills as a B2B Copywriter. Further, it inspired me to create my Strategic Content Audit service for improving websites.

My studies in Engineering & Computer Science were focused on manufacturing. In addition, they included materials science and Tool & Die Making. This led me to a job building dies for a machine manufacturing company. Realizing I had a knack for sales, I began selling welding equipment & supplies to hundreds of manufacturers.
After another career shift into IT Recruitment, I launched my own recruitment agency. This led to working with software companies specializing in Manufacturing ERP systems. Finally, I moved into a role selling RF technology and risk management software which I implemented into the 3rd largest mass transit system in North America.
Now as a B2B copwriter, I work with software companies specializing in manufacturing. In addition, I work with the small to medium size manufacturing companies they serve.

After working as a Sales & Marketing Manager for a small software start-up, I built and wrote the company’s first website. Seeing the sales roll immediately after launching the site, I was hooked. I started my own business in Website Development, leading to SEO and Copywriting. Finally, I’ve brought all my skills and experience together as a B2B Copywriter helping companies in manufacturing, consulting and software.
I’m located in Hamilton, Ontario, the most industrialized region in Canada. As our country’s largest steel manufacturing city with a port and two steel mills, it’s rightfully earned its nickname – The Hammer.
Specializing in wheel and buggy manufacturing, my ancestors moved to Kitchener, Canada from Germany in 1821. And then my great, great grandfather, a Brewmaster, moved to Hamilton in 1861 selling his products at his 5 local hotels.
Since my father worked as a Tool & Die Maker for jet manufacturer Avro Canada, manufacturing was all I heard about growing up. Then he manufactured bolts at Stelco (now U.S. Steel) for 30 years. My mother also worked in manufacturing, for General Electric and American Standard. And among other family members, one of my uncles operated the blast furnace at Dofasco (now Arcelor Mittal) for over 30 years. Another managed soap manufacturing for Proctor and Gamble.
